Here's the short version for those who don't care to watch the entire video (I do want to add that I appreciate that Ben and Kami leave up negative comments; most content creators delete them as fast as they can): One of their kids' significant others didn't want to go on vacation with the Crawford family (unbeknownst to Ben at the time of said vacation). Ben told the significant other to unload or load the dishwasher. Something with the dishwasher. I don't care enough to find the time stamp. Kid's SO says no. Entire Crawford family is shocked and scatters like worker ants to make sure that said chore gets done. Ben is very upset at his kid's SO and blasts loud music on the way home to annoy SO, even after SO requests that Ben turn it down. No requests to turn down the music or use the bathroom will be honored because Kid's SO didn't do the dishes. Fair is fair in Ben's kingdom. Later, it comes out that Ben has instituted his classic weekly coffee-shop meetings with Kid's SO. I don't know how Ben has managed to re-imagine toxic church culture for the family's new agnostic/hippie/polyamory lifestyle, but somehow he's cracked the code. Anyway, in one of these coffee-shop meetings, it comes out that SO didn't want to go on the trip in the first place and was struggling to even make it through this quote-unquote vacation. 30:50 Ben teases a Mysterious List he made for Kid's SO. Kami tells him how inspiring it is that he made such a list. Most people wouldn't. (No sh&%, Sherlock.) Said List will enable Ben to Speak His Truth. What was on this list, you might ask? He wrote on one side of the paper everything he'd ever done for Kid's SO (taking him out to eat at restaurants, buying him a Christmas present, buying him a birthday present, and very, very, very, very typical things that anybody would do for their child's significant other). Then, on the other side of the paper, he writes down everything that Kid's SO has ever done for him. Per Ben, there were like two or three things on that side. Kid's SO says it's helpful and I imagine it is. It's probably helpful in that now he knows exactly what he is dealing with. Ben is now happy because Kid's SO now shows up at his doorstep with beers from time to time. "It's a completely new dynamic," they say. 37:18: I completely stopped the video at this point because Ben uses the r-word as a slur. He is talking about himself but he is talking about how "confused" he gets. Then, he attempts to self-correct by saying that he might be "autistic." I'm getting extremely tired of people using "autistic" as an out for being an a**. Autism is a developmental disorder that is diagnosed by medical professionals. It's not a cute, quirky label to explain away your narcissistic behaviors. I will not watch anybody who uses the r-word or anybody who uses "autism" as a slur (even if it is against themselves), so I guess that's the end of the road for me where FFT is concerned.

I know it's pretty late to comment this, but, if the kid is having medical assistant during the training, is being heard, observed and wants to keep running without external pressure, it's their right to do so (always learning to listen and respect their own limits and bodies). And I'm pretty sure from what I saw your kids are, from the youngest to the oldest, really outspoken about how far they are able to go at that moment and put the pin on it. Those who call child support, probably, saw a clip from one single video and were done, without any regards of watching the many times your little boy cryed his eyes out because he wanted to run also in the dark in that park, or the times he decided he wanted to keep running the marathon

Watched a vid of yours and thought what a great family. Then after watching a few more of your videos and hearing a few statements from you I started to wonder. Then after this vid I realized you are a delusional fool. It is 1 thing to risk you own health but totally different risking your kids health.

You were given a house & $45,000 from your parents and they cry about trying to be independent from them. 2 years later you've spent $31,000 and can account for $9000 and a few other things but the house is still a mess. You live rent free but moan you have to pay property taxes. No the bathroom IS NOT almost finished. I thought with all the running you might become strong & independent but no. What a disappointment.

also alot of marriages that end up in this state is due to either person wanting the other to mirror oneself. ex: during the cards segment, its as if Ben wants Kami to handle things the way HE would. But it has to be realized, especially if the goal is getting out of the cycle & getting to a place of a thriving marriage, that each person is their own. and they should be their own without repercussions. Kami needs grace in processing her own shxt & so does Ben & it shouldn’t necessarily be intertwined or include input from the other. SPACE. this also segways into love languages. which should be expressed to the liking of the other person & NOT your own.

whoa! this indeed is a vicious cycle.. long term marriages often go through bouts (short or long) of these & from what i have learned, through therapy, you have to get to the CORE (meaning tracing actions/triggers etc back to the very first thing that starts the cycle) and be ready to be COMPLETELY selfless in changing the action/s that starts the cycle. It often takes coupled & individual therapy, simultaneously… nevertheless, im intrigued & subscribed. HUGE thanks for the transparency.

First off, thank you to all the positive commenters on this video, it is very nice to see and the family seems 0:04 wonderful. That said I have one complaint: I think its awful the way we treat children nowadays. They called the police on a boy who ran a marathon (even with all the precautions taken and supervision by this family)! What is wrong with people?! I swear people are going to start considering exercise as abuse now (not just from these health at every size delusional people). Its ridiculous. We ignore actually abuse and just make everyone else miserable with unneeded precautions. Especially kids. My whole generation and the one before has been ruined by this mentality. I can only imagine how much more healthy physically and Mentally Millennials and Gen Z would have been if we could have just been allowed to leave the house and move instead of just being behind a computer or TV all day because its all we could legally do without a parent (at least without the police getting involved). Whoever made that call, I hope you get shown for the Karen you really are and it ruins you.

Thank you for asking your dad to do this. When people step out of your life, it leaves a question of did we do something to cause this? A sense of loss. Though I may not like that there is no longer vlogs/podcast, i understand it.

I hear stuff like this and wonder how many stop because their kids turn 18 and realize they are entitled to large piece of the pie (depending upon state they are in) and were entitled to large pieces of the pie along the way.

I disagree with none of their business. Wellness checks are necessary; too many dumb people in the world whom sadly are able to reproduce. I know a lady who has 3 kids and wants 3 more for the tax money. She lives at parks and in drug buddy houses until they kick her out for hoarding or not paying agreed rents-originally with them- uses them to get stuff from people. It is a good thing to have a check. Its good to have a community that cares about children.

I had a friend in HS from Wisconsin that looked extremely similar to the daughter on the left. Her dad wasnt her dad so maybe shes related to you. Her mom was a nurse in the military and was adopted in Missouri. Shes 40ish now.
